Terms & Conditions

Plain-language terms for using ViewGcode. Please read the section on machine safety.

01

Accepting these terms

By using ViewGcode you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

02

What the service is

ViewGcode is a free, browser-based tool that reads G-code and draws the resulting toolpath. It does not edit, generate or send G-code, and it never connects to a machine.

03

Visual inspection only

The viewer is not a machine simulation. It does not model tool offsets, collisions, temperatures, material or machine limits, and some commands are skipped with a warning.

Always verify a program with your own checks and safe working practices before running it on a machine. You are responsible for what you run.

04

Your files

You keep all rights to the files you open. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us. Only open files you have the right to use.

05

Acceptable use

Please use the site responsibly. You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights
  • interfere with the site’s security or availability
  • present the service as endorsed by or affiliated with others

06

Availability and changes

The service is provided as is and may change, pause or be discontinued at any time. We don’t guarantee uptime or that it will suit a particular purpose.

07

No warranty

To the extent the law allows, ViewGcode is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Parsing and statistics may be incomplete or inaccurate.

08

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or profit, damage to machines or materials, or injury arising from using or relying on the viewer.

09

Intellectual property

The site’s design, text and code belong to its operator. Third-party libraries, such as three.js, remain under their own licences.

10

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the site’s operator is based.
